【PN R492 Pneuma Taroko Road Crank】
Featuring a 110 mm BCD and a four-arm design, the Pneuma Taroko R492 offers versatile configuration options within the Taroko crank series. It supports both 1x and 2x chainring setups. Compatible with a wide range of LamiFlow R492 chainring sizes, it is suitable for racing, daily training, and a variety of road-riding conditions. Compatible chainrings can also be used with RIDEA R492 cranksets, SPM2-R4, and Shimano cranksets that use a 110 mm BCD and a four-bolt mounting pattern, providing greater flexibility when selecting chainrings. In addition, the spider offers three mounting positions at 10° intervals. When paired with compatible oval chainrings, such as the RIDEA Powering series, the chainring's orientation relative to the crank arm can be adjusted to suit individual pedaling preferences. |

01 Modular System
Pneuma cranksets feature a fully modular design, allowing crank arms, spindles, power meter spiders, spiders, and chainrings to be combined according to component compatibility and individual riding needs.
Whether you want to adjust your riding setup or adapt to changes in your training, the modular system allows you to configure your crankset to suit your needs.
The Pneuma Taroko R492 features a 110 mm BCD and a four-arm design. It is compatible with the LamiFlow R492 series chainrings and supports both 1x and 2x configurations.
The 29 mm spindle version requires compatible Pneuma crank arms designed for the 29 mm spindle system. The BCD and bolt pattern of the spider and chainrings must also match. Please confirm component compatibility before selecting your configuration.
02 Hollow Crank Design
Many high-end crank arms reduce weight by using less material, and hollow structures are common in crank designs. However, moisture can accumulate inside hollow components, potentially increasing the risk of corrosion over time.
Pneuma crank arms feature a hollow structure designed to reduce weight while maintaining a balance of stiffness and structural strength. The design also helps reduce the potential for moisture and contaminants to accumulate inside, supporting long-term durability.
03 Three Spider Mounting Positions for Oval Chainrings
Pneuma spiders offer three mounting positions, with a 10° difference between each position. When used with compatible oval chainrings, such as the RIDEA Powering series, this feature allows the chainring's orientation relative to the crank arm to be adjusted.
Riders can choose a suitable chainring position according to their individual pedaling preferences and riding needs.
04 Dual Spindle Options
In 2012, RIDEA introduced its ES BB29 series, featuring a 29 mm spindle design. Pneuma continues this design concept with a 29 mm spindle option for compatible Pneuma crank arms and drivetrain systems, including suitable SRAM DUB™-compatible configurations.
A 24 mm spindle option is also available for compatible setups using Shimano HOLLOWTECH II systems. Compatibility depends on the specific crank arms, spindle, bottom bracket, and other components used.
Available Spindle Options
The following table lists the spindle specifications available for Pneuma cranksets. The highlighted specifications indicate the standard spindle configuration for the Pneuma Taroko R492. Other options may be available upon request, subject to component compatibility.
