FORGED CARBON COMPOSITE
Forged Carbon is the ultimate material for pulleys and a better material than alloys and plastics commonly used in the industry. Forged Carbon is lighter than alloys, while being harder and more durable than plastics.
Its elasticity and tensile strength allow a precise guiding and engagement of the chain. More importantly, we can design the bearings with minimum play to reduce friction, maximizing the energy savings of the overall system.
X-ODON
First developed by Ridea in 2010, the X-ODON technology of narrow-wide teeth is available for all pulleys with an even number of teeth.
The teeth design, shaped with different lengths and angles, ensures a smooth engagement between the chain and the pulleys. Therefore, the X-ODON technology plays a fundamental role in making a rear derailleur cage with minimum play among its parts, reducing noise and increasing the overall performance of the system.
TI-CAST
Ti-cast is a surface coating offered as an option for some Forged Carbon pulleys. It makes the surface of the pulley even more resistant to mechanical and chemical wearing, increasing the life of the pulley and making it ideal for harsh riding conditions such as mountain biking and/or wet weather.
Suffice to say, it looks gorgeous too.
