A chain hook keeps the chain tidy when the bike is folded, also protecting the bike from scratches caused by chain slaps when folding and unfolding the bike.
A chain tensioner helps to keep the chain at the right tension. It is specially useful in bikes withouth a rear derailleur providing tension in conjuction with oval chainrings.
